What Will Happen in 2008: My Prediction

Mike Huckabee will win the Republican nomination,
name John McCain as his VP,
then go on to win in the general election.

Yes, that is how it will go...

I actually happen to agree and hope you're right.

A Huckabee/McCain ticket would be terrific.

I was figuring Giuliani, but yeah, McCain is definitely better.

Not a big state, but a big draw in the big states, but that's not why.

Real popular with independents, but that's not why.

Got those foreign policy credentials, including being spectacularly right about Iraq, but that's not why.

It would be the two most honest sincere men in politics, that's why.

I can't believe what I am hearing from Huckabee supporters. Cute Christmas cards are supposed to prevent the coming recession?

SCARY THOUGHT FOR THE DAY #26:
Huckabee and Guiliani have nothing for the economy compared with Romney's business and economic acumen. Will you still be complaining about Romney's faith when they lay you off and foreclose your home? Get real, and don't get me started about Huckabee as a foreign policy disaster. Huckabee and Ahmadinejad sitting across at a table???? That's classic, what a nightmare.

Take all of the t-shirts mocking Bush you see at the mall and insert Huckabee's face. That's what college kids may be wearing until 2012. Bush haters are going to FEAST on Huckabee, what a goober...there's a good image for the Republican stigma. Are you kidding me??

Why don't we all vote for an inferior candidate merely because he's not LDS. Evangelicals are going to ruin this nation!!

Rick replies: No, it's the spirit of Christmas, where a large number of people, that normally fail to do so, try to love their brother. A wonderful thing whether one is a Christian or not.

Rick replies: Oh, I think not being obligated to all those big money donors will do wonders for the economy.

Will you still be complaining about Romney's faith when they lay you off and foreclose your home?

Rick replies: The only one complaining about Romney's faith is Romney. No one else ever brings it up. (Except the reporters, how ask Mike Huckabee 10 times as many religon questions.)

Rick replies: In a debate, thinking on his feet, Mike Huckabee will compare with Armadinejad even better than he did with Romney during the debates. If that's any sign, our popularity with the Iranian on the street will go up by 18 points.

Rick replies: Fantastic! and Merry Christmas to you too.

Now, someone is push polling against John McCain in New Hampshire, and last night Chris Matthews said it was probably Huckabee.

He isn't anywhere near that stupid, he just hates the Christian thing. Mike Huckabee saying Merry Christmas, instead of spewing political filth like "you know who" drives him up the wall.

It's clear John McCain is no threat to Mike Huckabee. Ten to one, it's "you know who" that so loves spewing political filth, trying to pin it on Mike.

Oh, they have their minions out there sliming him. Fox almost non-stop except O'Reilly. Chris Matthews, etc. etc. Always putting the worst possible slant on it.

It's always worked before, but so far, the American people have seen through it. This democracy thing may turn out to be a big success.
